3.3 cm light-coloured tooth of the Mosasaurus

The 3.3 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a well-preserved light brown enamel. The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
