The 9.5 cm large tooth of Igdamanosaurus aegyptiacus is in a beautiful state of preservation and has a very long tooth root. The tooth shows no obvious repairs. Igdamanosaurus aegyptiacus was up to 6 metres long and is a relative of the better known Mosasaurus, the largest known marine predator. The Igdamanosaurus aegyptiacus teeth are characterised by their spherical shape and enabled it to be the only marine dinosaur to crack armoured prey.
