The 3.1 cm long curved tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a light brown enamel that is well preserved.
The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
