12.4 cm gray tooth of the Megalodon

The 12.4 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon has a lighter gray enamel with reddish patterns. The dentition is partially recognizable and sharp. The bourelette, like the brown root of the tooth, has been eroded and smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea. One of the two nutrient joints in the middle of the tooth root is well preserved. The tooth was nourished through this groove during the shark's lifetime.
