11.3 cm tooth fragment of the Megalodon

The 11.3 cm tooth fragment of the Megalodon has a gray-brown patterned enamel and the remaining teeth are very sharp. The tooth has been damaged over the many millions of years in the sea and is covered with rock residue and deposits, especially at the root of the tooth.

Species:   Carcharocles Megalodon (Family: Otodontidae, Genius: Otodus)
Age:    ca. 3 – 20 million years old (Pliocene – early Miocene)
