The 14.1 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon comes from the Ashepoo River in the Hawthorne Formation in South Carolina. The tooth has a very wide root measuring 11.9 cm, which is beautifully preserved. The fine serration is clearly recognisable and sharp. The serration has a slight undulation near the root. The shiny enamel on the lingual side has a colour gradient from reddish tones to blue tones to a light grey. On the labial side, the enamel is slightly damaged and also has a blue-grey colour. The broad bourelette is still partially preserved. A beautiful large tooth of the prehistoric giant with beautiful colouring.
