5.0 cm multifaceted coloured tooth of the Megalodon
The 5.0 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon has a shiny orange enamel with greenish elements. The brown bourelette is beautifully preserved. The root of the tooth is grey and smooth. The serration is only partially recognisable. What makes this tooth special is the hole in the root on the labial side, in which a fossilised barnacle can probably be seen. The Bone Valley region was considered the nursery of the Megalodon, which is why mainly smaller teeth are found here.
