The 4.7 cm large fossil tooth of the mako shark (Cosmopolitodus hastalis) comes from Morocco and is in a beautiful state of preservation. The enamel is iridescent and reddish-brown with whitish colouring on the lingual side. The slightly darker reddish root of the tooth shows no small adhesions of the surrounding rock. The tooth is natural and has no repairs. Fossilised Mako shark teeth are among the rarer finds in this region.
