9.4 cm shiny black tooth of the Megalodon

The 9.4 cm fossil tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a beautiful shiny black enamel with lighter-coloured patterns. The serration is recognisable at the base, as is the narrower bourelette. The matt root of the tooth has been smoothed and damaged over the many millions of years in the sea. The tooth comes from the front part of the upper jaw of the prehistoric giant.
