4.4 cm very light-coloured tooth of the Mosasaurus 


The 4.4 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a very light beige enamel that is still well preserved. The tooth shows no recognisable repairs. Mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
