The 5.3 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has shiny brown enamel with growth grooves. The tooth shows minimal repair, which is often the case with finds from Morocco. Mosasaurs were a globally distributed group of predatory marine reptiles during the Late Cretaceous period. These reptiles, which grew up to 17 meters in length, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
