3.8 cm massive posterior tooth of the Megalodon

The 3.8 cm fossil tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon comes from the posterior region of the dentition and is a so-called posterior tooth. These teeth are characterised by a massive, broad root and small crown. The enamel is shiny and grey. Most of the serration is still clearly recognisable. The light-coloured tooth root has been smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea.
