8.9 cm large polished tooth of Carcharocles Chubutensis

The 8.9 cm large tooth of Carcharocles Chubutensis has a very beautiful shiny blue enamel. The tip of the tooth has been polished and shimmers in a bronze colour. The black bourelette is still well preserved and recognisable. Part of the serration is still recognisable on the sides. The dark root of the tooth has been worn away over the many years in the sea and polished smooth. Carcharocles chubutensis is considered a direct ancestor of the megalodon and was somewhat smaller than the prehistoric giant.
