7,1 cm dagger-shaped black tooth of the Megalodon from the Bone Valley

The 7.1 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a dagger-shaped form and therefore comes from the lower jaw of the prehistoric giant. This tooth was professionally restored with black filament, which you can see on the third image. The tooth comes from the famous phosphate mines of the Bone Valley in the USA. The tooth enamel has a black color, which contrasts strongly with the beige bourelette and light root. Mostly tooth findings from the Bone Valley have a blue enamel, which makes this tooth very special. The tooth is in a nice state of preservation and the serration is still well recognizable and palpable. It shows a slight damage, which is a so-called bite notch, which was created during the lifetime of the shark.
