3.0 cm bluish tooth of Cosmopolitodus hastalis from Chile
The 3.0 cm tooth of the Cosmopolitodus hastalis (Mako - Shark) shows great blue tones and a dark band on the back below the root. In the Atacama salt desert in northern Chile very beautiful and colorful shark teeth are found since some time. These are rarely offered on the European market. The teeth found there are characterized by their very beautiful coloration, as well as impressive preservation and a very hard enamel. For years there is an export ban on the part of Chile for fossils of all kinds, which is why it is becoming increasingly difficult to get these great shark teeth.
