The 11.3 cm dark tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon is in a good and beautiful state of preservation. The shiny enamel is dark and gray-blue in color. The dentition is wonderfully preserved and very sharp, except for small notches that were made during the shark's lifetime. The black bourelette is perfectly preserved. The black root of the tooth has been slightly smoothed by the many millions of years and a nutrient joint is still clearly visible. The tooth was found in a river in South Carolina and comes from the upper jaw of the Megalodon.
