The 6.3 cm large tooth of the already extinct mako shark (Cosmopolitodus hastalis) has a beautifully patterned blue and brown enamel and is in a beautiful state of preservation except for a so-called bitemark. the matt black tooth root has been slightly worn away over the many millions of years in the sea. The tooth comes from the southeastern USA.
