The 3.6 cm narrow tooth of the already extinct mako shark (Cosmopolitodus hastalis) has a curved gray enamel and comes from the shark's lower jaw. The black root of the tooth has been slightly eroded over many millions of years in the sea. The tooth comes from the USA.
