The 4.7 cm long tooth of Isurus planus (hooked tooth - mako - shark) from Bakersfield in Califonia has a wonderful colorful enamel and reddish brown root. The teeth reached a maximum length of 5 cm. Teeth of Isurus planus are found only in marine deposits on the Pacific margin.
