2,4 cm Mosasaur Tooth

2.4 cm light-coloured tooth of the Mosasaurus

The 2.4 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a light brown enamel that darkens towards the tip. The tooth has been repaired at the tip, which can be seen in the pictures.
The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
