The 6.2 cm long and massive tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a uniform shiny brown enamel. The tooth has a minor repair in which chipped material was reattached ->see pictures. The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores of the Cretaceous oceans.
