The 3.9 cm tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a dull dark enamel and shows a small repair, which is clearly visible in the pictures. Mosasaurs were a group of predatory marine reptiles that were widespread throughout the world during the Late Cretaceous period. These reptiles, which grew up to 17 meters in length, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
