The 5.9 cm tooth of the Carchaocles Megalodon has a dagger-like shape and comes from the lower jaw of the prehistoric giant. The tooth enamel is bluish in colour and contrasts with the brown tooth root and bourelette. Some of the serration is still clearly recognisable. The tooth root has been smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea.
