5.6 cm perfectly preserved mako shark tooth

The 5.6 cm tooth from the Cosmopolitodus hastalis (mako shark) is in perfect condition and is a collector's item. The tooth was found in the Bone Valley region of Florida. The shiny enamel has a gray-blue pattern and the edges are noticeably sharp. The narrow dental band between the crown and root is clearly visible. The light gray matte tooth root is wonderfully preserved with recognizable nutrient grooves in the middle. These small holes in the root supplied the tooth with nutrients during the shark's lifetime.
