5.1 cm blue tooth from Megalodon from Bone Valley

The 5.1 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon from Bone Valley has a heart-shaped symmetry. Such teeth are also known as Hubbell Megs. These are teeth from juvenile Megalodon, which are notable for their shape. The enamel is dark blue and the teeth are fine and razor-sharp. The narrow white bourelette is wonderfully preserved, as is the tooth root. In the centre of the root, the small nutrient joints through which the tooth was supplied during the shark's lifetime are clearly visible. Bone Valley is known for its colourful finds with white tooth roots and is considered the nursery of the prehistoric giant.
