9.9 cm large grey tooth of the Megalodon

The 9.9 cm tooth of the Carcharocles megalodon was found off the coast of North Carolina. The shiny tooth enamel (enamel) is grey and blue in colour. The fine serration is beautifully preserved and still sharp in places. The black bourelette is still preserved in parts. The dark root has been eroded and polished over many millions of years in the sea.
