13.1 cm patterned tooth of the Megalodon

The 13.1 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a wonderfully patterned enamel. Circular discolouration is visible on both sides and the colours range from black to various shades of blue and grey. The fine serration is beautifully preserved and recognisable. The black bourelette is very narrow and largely preserved. The root of the tooth, which is also black, has been worn away and smoothed by millions of years in the sea.
