The 2.5 cm long dark tooth of Notorynchus primigenius was found in a boulder near Bremen and dates from the Miocene. Notorynchus primigenius is an extinct species of broad-nosed sevengill shark and belongs to the group of comb-toothed sharks. It is characterised by a wide mouth and seven pairs of gill slits.
