16.4 cm very large black tooth of the Megalodon from South Carolina

The 16.4 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon is huge, massive and black. Teeth of the prehistoric giant in this size and condition are rare and hard to find. The tooth has beautifully preserved black enamel and perfectly preserved fine and sharp serrations. The serration is wavy in the upper area near the root of the tooth, which happens with teeth in the shark's dentition that have too little space to grow. The black bourelette is narrow in relation to the rest of the tooth and is still largely intact. The massive and broad root is slightly smoothed by the many millions of years in the sea. Three nutrient grooves are still recognisable in it, although normally only two are present. An impressive black tooth of the megalodon from South Carolina with rarity value.
