12.0 cm beautifully colored Megalodon tooth

The 12.0 cm tooth from Carcharocles Megalodon has beautifully colored dark blue enamel with reddish elements on the front and back of the crown. The reddish coloring comes from embedded iron oxide. The shiny enamel is very well preserved. The teeth are wonderfully visible and sharp, except for minor indentations. The broad black bourelette is wide and largely preserved. The massive tooth root is matt and has been slightly smoothed over millions of years in the water. This is a lateral tooth from the upper jaw of the prehistoric giant. This is indicated by the relatively broad tooth root in relation to the compact tooth crown. A very beautiful, multi-faceted colored witness to the Megaodon.
