The 11.0 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a light brown enamel and partially preserved reddish-brown bourelette. The serration is still partially preserved and can be felt. The brown root of the tooth has been worn away over the many millions of years in the sea and the crown of the tooth is partially damaged. The tooth was found off the south-east coast of the USA.
