The 1.3-cm tooth of Deltadromeus agilis features well-preserved light brown enamel, and its fine serration is nearly completely intact. The tooth shows no signs of obvious repair.

Deltadromeus agilis was a theropod dinosaur from the early Late Cretaceous period of North Africa that lived approximately 95 million years ago. Its name means “agile delta runner” and refers both to the delta habitat and to its hind limbs, which were strikingly well-suited for running.
Characteristic of Deltadromeus are its very long, slender legs. With an estimated length of about eight meters, it was a medium-sized to large carnivore and likely specialized in hunting fast prey.
