The 4.3 cm tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has been repaired at the tip and still has rock remains at the root. The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
