2.8 cm massive tooth of the pterosaur Siroccopteryx moroccensis
The 2.8 cm long tooth of Siroccopteryx moroccensis is relatively massive. Most of the enamel is chipped off. The remaining enamel is dark and brownish in colour. Siroccopteryx was named by its discoverers (Keller, Mader 1999) after the warm desert wind Sirocco and means wings of Sirocco. The wingspan of this large pterosaur is probably 4 to 5 metres.
