5.1 cm beautifully colored tooth of the Mako shark

The 5.1 cm tooth of the already extinct mako shark (Cosmopolitodus hastalis) has a shiny, multi-faceted colored enamel and sharp edges. The light brown tooth root is well preserved. The tooth was damaged between the root and the crown and has been repaired.

Species: Cosmopolitodus hastalis (Family: Lamnidae, Genius: Cosmopolitodus)
Age: ca. 7,2 - 20 million years old (Lower Miocene - Messinian )
