11.6 cm light gray tooth of the Megalodon

The 11.6 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon has a shiny light grey enamel with reddish coloration in the transition to the bourelette and tooth root. Some of the teeth are razor-sharp and there was chipping at the tip of the tooth. The bourelette is dark brown and beautifully preserved in places. The rough, matt root of the tooth has been eroded over millions of years in the sea. The tooth is a so-called anterior tooth, i.e. it comes from the upper jaw of the prehistoric shark.
