The 5.4 cm tooth of Carcharocles angustidens is dagger-shaped and completely brown. The serration is still recognisable and the root of the tooth is massive and well preserved. The teeth of the Carcharocles angustidens have pointed cusps on the sides, although both are no longer present in this specimen. The Carcharocles angustidens is considered the ancestor of the megalodon and grew up to 10 metres long.
