At 14.0 cm, the very large tooth of Carcharocles megalodon has a very bright, mostly beige enamel with blue and reddish colorations, depending on the incidence of light. The very fine teeth are wonderfully preserved and razor sharp. The bourelette is reddish brown and has a beautiful shape. The light brown matt tooth root is in a very good state of preservation and only slightly eroded. Occasional shell remains are still attached. The specimen is an anterior tooth, i.e. it comes from the anterior region of the upper jaw of the megalodon. A very beautiful tooth of the prehistoric giant from North Carolina in the USA, which impresses with its extraordinary coloration. A highlight for any collection.
