13.1 cm dark anterior tooth of Megalodon

At 13.1 cm long, the larger tooth of the Megalodon is in a beautiful state of preservation. The dentition is very fine, perfectly preserved and razor sharp. The shiny enamel is black with lighter patterns that make the tooth very special. The two small cusps at the transition to the root of the tooth are also special. The black bourelette is almost completely preserved. The matt root of the tooth is black and brown and has been slightly eroded by millions of years in the water. The tooth was found in the ACE River Basin in South Carolina. River finds are among the rarer finds, as most teeth are found in the sea. The tooth is a so-called anterior tooth from the front of the upper jaw of the prehistoric giant.
