11.7 cm tapered tooth of the Megalodon

The 11.7 cm tooth of the Carcharocles megalodon is pointed and has a rarer shape. The tooth comes from the rear part of the dentition of a larger specimen of the prehistoric shark. The enamel is gray-blue in color with scattered yellowish elements. The dentition is well preserved and sharp. The light gray bourelette and tooth root have been worn away and eroded over the many millions of years in the sea.
