The tooth of the prehistoric crocodile Elosuchus cherifiensis, which is quite large at 4.6 cm, has a dark brown and well-preserved enamel. The tooth shows no obvious repairs. The Elosuchus was one of the known giant crocodiles that dominated the river systems of the North African Cretaceous period. It was up to 7.7 metres long.
