The 6.8 cm fossil tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a shiny grey enamel that has flaked off slightly. The serration is clearly recognisable. The matt black tooth root has been worn away and smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea. The tooth comes from the rear area of the upper jaw of the Megalodon.
