The 6.2 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon is a so-called posterior tooth and comes from the rear of the prehistoric giant's dentition. Typical for so-called posterior teeth is the very wide and massive tooth root in relation to the tooth crown. The enamel is light grey with blue stripes. The existing teeth are fine and sharp and also show so-called bite marks. The narrow black bourelette is almost completely preserved. The broad grey tooth root has been slightly eroded by millions of years in the sea.
