The 5.6 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a shiny, light brown enamel. The tooth has minimal repairs, which is often the case with finds from Morocco. Mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
