The 4.7 cm tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei is curved and has a darker brown enamel with grain patterns. The tooth shows no obvious signs of repair. Mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine reptiles during the Late Cretaceous period. These reptiles, which grew up to 17 meters in length, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
