4.4 cm tooth of Mako shark from Morocco

The 4.4 cm large fossil tooth of the mako shark (Cosmopolitodus hastalis) comes from Morocco and is in a beautiful state of preservation. The enamel is iridescent and reddish brown in colour. The slightly lighter brown root of the tooth is slightly damaged and worn. The tooth is natural and has no repairs. Fossilised Mako shark teeth are among the rarer finds in this region.
