The 4.2 cm tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a dark brown tip and an interesting color gradient in the enamel. The tooth shows minor repairs, which are clearly visible in the pictures. Mosasaurs were a group of predatory marine reptiles that were widespread throughout the world during the Late Cretaceous period. These reptiles, which grew up to 17 meters in length, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
