The 3.4 cm very large tooth of Hemipristis serra has a beautiful sharp serration. The enamel is blue-grey in colour and shiny. The reddish-brown root contrasts in colour. The Hemipristis serra is an extinct species of the weasel shark genus that occurred in the Oligocene to Miocene in the Atlantic. Its total length is estimated at up to 6 metres.
