The 12.2 cm tooth of Carcharocles megalodon comes from the lower jaw of the prehistoric giant. The tooth still has fine serrations, some of which are sharp. The enamel (tooth enamel) is grey-blue and shiny. The broad black bourelette is still partially preserved. The dark root has been worn away by millions of years in the sea and is smooth.
