11.9 cm large tooth of the Megalodon

The 11.9 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon has a broad brown root with remnants of a barnacle. The gray enamel shows reddish discoloration and the serration is still partially visible. The tooth comes from a diver from the southeast of the USA.

Species: Carcharocles Megalodon (Family: Otodontidae, Genius: Otodus)
Age: ca. 3 – 20 million years old (Pliocene – early Miocene)
